Getting started
How do I know if my child needs speech therapy?
Common signs include difficulty being understood by others, limited vocabulary for their age, challenges following directions, struggles with social interaction, or reading and writing difficulties. If you have any concerns about your child's communication, a free consultation is a great first step. We can talk through what you're noticing and whether an evaluation makes sense.
What happens during the first appointment?
We typically start with an initial evaluation, a time to get to know you or your child, understand your goals and concerns, and assess current communication skills. After the evaluation, we'll discuss findings and work together to build a plan that fits your needs and daily life.
Do you offer a free consultation?
Yes! A free 15‑minute phone or video consultation is available so you can ask questions, share your concerns, and decide if we're a good fit before committing to an evaluation or session. Book your free consultation here.
Services & sessions
What ages do you work with?
Clementine Speech Therapy serves individuals of all ages, from young children developing their first words to adults seeking clearer communication at work or in daily life. If you're unsure whether services are a fit for your situation, just reach out.
How long are sessions, and how often will we meet?
Sessions are typically 30–60 minutes. Frequency varies based on individual needs and goals' some clients begin with biweekly sessions, others less often. We'll determine the right schedule together after the initial evaluation.
Do you offer teletherapy?
Yes! Teletherapy is available for clients across Florida. Virtual sessions are conducted over a secure video platform and are just as effective as in‑person sessions for many areas of speech‑language therapy. They're also a flexible option for busy schedules.
Do parents or caregivers participate in sessions?
Parent or caregiver participation is welcome but not required. For young children, we'll share simple strategies you can use at home, even if sessions take place at a preschool or daycare. For older children, parents are welcome to join sessions as needed; it varies based on each child's needs and preferences. For adults and seniors, caregivers may join to support home practice or daily‑life carryover, and we maintain strong communication throughout either way.
Insurance & cost
Do you accept insurance?
We don't bill insurance directly, but many families still use their benefits. You'll receive a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement, and most families find the process quick and straightforward! If you'd like more guidance, we're happy to walk you through the steps! This model gives us the flexibility to provide truly individualized care, without the limits or restrictions that insurance plans often place on therapy services.
How much do sessions cost?
We're happy to share current pricing when you reach out. We'll make sure you have a clear picture of what to expect before any commitment. Contact us here.
